American Hero, Kyle Rittenhouse
Updated: Oct 5, 2020
By now we have all heard the story of the tragic events that occurred in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the shooting of Jacob Blake. Seventeen-year-old Patriot, Illinois resident Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two men and injured a third. Following the shooting he is facing charges of First-Degree Homicide, as well as other charges related to the incident. Even as the incident clearly appears to be case of self-defense; with multiple videos supporting that narrative. Also, at the time of writing, pro-freedom and pro-gun rights individuals have donated over $2 million to his defense fund.
Kyle is from Antioch, Illinois; a city just over 20 miles south west of Kenosha, WI. He worked as a lifeguard at a local YMCA, as well as being a former Police Cadet. Looking at his Facebook profile he also was an avid supporter of our Police Officers who put their life on the line every day to protect us.
Kyle was in Kenosha to help that day. During the day he was even photographed helping clean up damage and scrubbing walls that were graffitied; and later that night he was quoted saying "If someone is hurt, I’m running into harm’s way. That’s why I have my rifle. I’ve gotta protect myself obviously, but I also have my med kit," during an interview with The Daily Caller hours before the shooting. Does that sound like a crazy right-wing nut job to you? To me, and many other, that sound like a kid who wanted to help but knew he needed protection during a violent riot. All organized by a far-left wing terrorist group called Black Lives Matter. He reportedly offered medical aid to injured people during the night.

Kyle was at a car dealership trying to prevent its destruction. On video a few minutes later, he is seen running away from a group and into a lot. There on video there is a gunshot fired from another individual a couple of car lengths away. Rittenhouse turns towards the gunfire as another individual running towards him in close proximity and lunges at him. Kyle fires four shots hitting him in the head.
As the crowd closes in on him, he does the smart thing and attempts to retreat to a better position. While the crowd has other ideas in mind and chases him. Kyle is running down the street with a large crowd around him. Unfortunately, he trips, allowing his pursuers to catch him. One individual jumps and tries to kick him, while a second has ahold of his AR15; trying to take it away. He takes one shot to the chest, killing him. While the third individual has a handgun (looks like a Glock 26) pointed in his direction. The third person is severely injured by a bullet to the arm.
Kyle is facing multiple charges including First Degree Murder. For defending his life. He has a right, as does anyone, to protect themselves from violent domestic terrorists. Due to an overzealous liberal Attorney General, making him a target to the rest of us; to accept what BLM and ANTIFA are doing.
What this Means for the Rest of Us:
To sum it up in a few words, accept the terror and destruction brought to us by the Radical Left. To show that we can’t protect our way of life, no matter how much we put into them. From every photo that you can see, Kyle used sound judgment to defend his life from valid threats. The first individual that was shot was charging him. Now when you have a firearm, especially a long gun, you are at a disadvantage when a threat gets into arm’s length. Allowing them to strike you and preventing you from returning fire, could even allow them to overpower you and take that gun. Like what happened to the second person shot.
During the events of the second and third individual shot. Kyle feel to the ground, a very dangerous spot to be during any fight. The person hit Kyle and attempted to take his AR away. He returned fire striking him in the chest, killing him. Then looking at the third person shot, he was closing in on Kyle with a handgun pointed in the direction of Kyle. With Kyle still being on the ground and fighting off the second individual who grabbed his gun, he was at a severe disadvantage and could have easily been caught off guard and shot. Kyle fired one round hitting this individual in the arm.
Kyle showed great restraint and control during the fight. Even on the ground with a person trying to take the gun away, he remained in control of it and put effective rounds on target. Never firing wildly into the crowd. Putting rounds in the general target area with minimal misses, and anyone knows in a gunfight 99% of people cannot hit the target with every round. The stress of a gunfight is extreme and overwhelms most people.
If this tragic situation teaches us anything is that you must be prepared for the radical left to target you even with defending your life. I implore anyone who own a firearm and intends to carry it for defense to get some form of carry insurance. If you carry it is just that extra line of defense that will protect you after you are done protecting yourself. I personally recommend USCCA, United States Concealed Carry Association. If you don't have insurance you risk all of your assets every-time you leave your house carrying a gun. Thankfully there was enough media attention on Kyle's case to help him raise funds for his defense but you can't count on that. Protect yourself, others, and cover your ass.
